Belgium GP 2021: Leek Tart and Vineyard Salad with Chimay Beer
I am not sure what there is to say about this year’s Belgian GP. It was unfortunately, due to an immense amount of rain, a very boring, essentially two lap race. Can we actually call it a race? Should it have even been classified a race? I don’t know. That being said, I still enjoyed the scenery, the Ardennes are breathtaking. George Russel’s qualifying lap was exceptional and it was heartwarming to see him on the podium, I am always cheering for him!
As for dinner, I have to say, I love the Belgian GP race weekend because the food is always something different, and always good. And of course, there is the beer. The best beer in the world, hands down, and this Chimay was a perfect accompaniment to this simple meal. For dinner, we made a lovely Leek Tart with a crumbly crust and luxurious leek filling paired with a crunchy tart Vineyard Salad.
